Transnational Feminist Politics, Education, and Social Justice: Post Democracy and Post Truth Edling Silvia
Written by an international all-female group of academics and activists, this book argues that xenophobia, racism, patriarchy and nationalism, and their convergences with conservatism and neoliberalism, can be fought with transnational feminist politics and emancipatory educational praxis. The chapters cover a broad range of international contexts, including the immigration crisis in the USA, the movement of rural women workers in Brazil, the role of education in women's empowerment after the Greek financial crisis, and #MeToo and masculinity in a group of teacher-students in Sweden. Showcasing new research from Australia, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland and Sweden, and the USA, the chapter authors argue for a new feminist politics centered on education and social justice.
