Reflects 3.5 years of transdisciplinary archeological research in the Theban Necropolis applying sophisticated scientific, digital, and technical approaches and methods often conducted on a micro level.Fieldwork draws from a hermeneutic perspective that pays attention to the life span of an archeological object and its interrelatedness, including post-depositional events.Includes a chapter on the history of the archeological site and its early modern exploration.
