An attempt was made to study efficiency of prostaglandin E1-misoprostol 25 mcg and 50 mcg for induction of labour and complications arising out of induction by misoprostol. The drug is in tablet form hence it can be easily stored. It is also cheap as compared to PGE2 and PGF2 . Induction of labour is at times difficult to have successful normal vaginal delivery outcome, however we have found that misoprostol in 25 mcg and 50 mcg by vaginal route is best option for it.
