Many of the themes of Aeschylus' Suppliants - the treatment of refugees, forced marriage, ethnic and cultural clashes, decisions on war and peace, political deception - resonate strongly in the world of today. This provides particular help with the peculiarities of tragic, especially Aeschylean, Greek.
